Officer Election Candidacy Forms

Lodge officer elections will be held at the Fall Fellowship in September and chapter officer elections will be held later in the Fall. In anticipation of that, we are asking those that are interested in seeking office to complete one of the following forms, depending on which office you are interested in.

TEJAS LODGE CHAPTER OFFICER CANDIDACY CONSENT FORM

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Pf43KIU6HDtlcdG6mEYWg2wIhT6SyAv1/view?usp=drive_link

TEJAS LODGE OFFICER CANDIDACY CONSENT FORM

https://drive.google.com/file/d/18wkhgP6RfbJRFMX7xnYeVsIdGCQRuHXv/view?usp=drive_link

One form is for the Chapter level and the other for the Lodge Level. This is not designed to prevent anyone from running for office. This is an opportunity for you as a potential youth leader to have a conversation about the responsibilities that a leadership position in the OA, or anywhere for that matter, would entail.

You as the youth interested in a position need to print the appropriate form and complete the information. Then either have your unit leader and parent sign the form for Chapter level or the Chapter Advisor and your parent sign for a Lodge position. These forms need to be delivered to either the Chapter Advisor or Lodge Advisor no less than 1 week before the officer elections.

I hope that each of you will seek out a leadership position. Or if not, please consider joining a committee or merely helping one of the officers. There are many opportunities to serve in the Order of the Arrow and as we move forward, more opportunities may present themselves in the future.

Summer Ordeal Registration

Fellow Arrowmen,

Tejas Lodge will conduct our 2024 Summer Ordeal Induction during the weekend of July 19-20, 2024. This is when we will induct Scouts and Scouters who were elected to membership into the Order of the Arrow. This is also an opportunity for YOU to serve Scouting and Tejas Lodge by giving back and providing service to our council camp, George W. Pirtle Scout Reservation. In order for this to be a successful event, we need members to attend and help in several different ways, including serving as an ELANGOMAT, helping with CEREMONIES, working on SERVICE PROJECTS, and having fun with your brother Arrowmen! If you are willing to serve in one of these capacities, please contact your Chapter Adviser or Chapter Officers.

You will need your own tent, water bottle or canteen, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, camping equipment, Field Uniform, OA Sash, weather-appropriate clothing, and toiletries as well as a copy of Part A and B of your Annual Health and Medical Record. Check-in begins at 7:00 PM on Friday and we will depart camp by 8:00 PM on Saturday.

Please register here: https://scoutingevent.com/585-2024TejasLodgeSummerOrdeal

You will need your BSA ID number to complete the online form along with payment. The member fee for this event is $20.00. Members who have purchased a Golden Ticket are prepaid but still need to let us know you are attending. If you cannot successfully use this online process, let us know by emailing tejas72lodge@gmail.com

We can’t wait to see you as we join in fellowship and service and welcome our new members to the Order of the Arrow!
