• Pre-Ordered Lodge Flaps will be distributed to Jamboree Contingent and Staff members before Jamboree.
• Jamboree Contingent and Staff members will be able to purchase additional lodge flaps(while supplies last) at Jamboree.
• Pre-Ordered Lodge Flaps will be distributed to Tejas Lodge members after Jamboree.

Tejas Lodge is accepting applications to serve as Camp Chief during Summer Camp at George W. Pirtle Scout Reservation. The position is open to all youth members of Tejas Lodge.  For more information about the specific job duties of the camp chief, please read the Camp Chief Job Description

Hear ye, hear ye!

Tejas Lodge will be performing a Call-Out Ceremony to recognize scouts newly elected to the OA during the Council Wide “Quad Jam” Camporee.  The Call-Out Ceremony will be held right after the campfire program scheduled to start at 8pm on Saturday. 

During the Friday evening and Saturday morning SPL/Leaders meetings, Scoutmasters will be asked to sign up their elected scouts so we have an accurate list for the call out ceremony. 

Unit Leaders, if your unit has not held an OA election this year, please get in touch using the phone or email below.

Ordeal Members, 

If you completed your ordeal in 2022 or earlier then you are elligible to complete your Brotherhood membership.

What? Conclave is the largest event planned by the Section and gives Arrowmen opportunities to have fun and fellowship with hundreds of scouts across Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma! A variety of activities will be available from shows to training, and from crafts to a pow-wow. Lodges will also have the opportunity to compete in ceremonies, athletic competitions, and AIA dancing among other things.

When: April 21 – 23, 2023.

Cost: Early Bird Registration: $40 for the first 200 spots from February 15 – March 8, 2023
Regular Registration: $50 from March 9 – April 16, 2023
Walk Up/Late Registration: $65 from April 17 – 23, 2023

Lodging: Tent camping by lodge.

Don’t forget to register for our upcoming work day at Pirtle on Sat Feb 4 9am – 4pm. The cost is $5 and in return you will get the opportunity to provide cheerful service, eat a delicious lunch, and earn a patch. We have lots of projects to get done to get the camp ready for the upcoming Wood Badge course and the council-wide camporee in April. If you can’t make this one, be sure to mark March 4 on your calendar when we will host workday #2.

Don’t forget to invite your units.  This event is open all Scouts BSA, Venturers, and Scouters in the council. Scouts BSA Troops and Venturing Crews must come us a unit.

The Lodge Leadership Development (LLD) weekend is for all Arrowmen in Tejas Lodge. Through this training members can learn how to get involved in the opportunities available to them, youth leaders can learn how to run a successful lodge or chapter, advisers can learn how to support and guide youth, and any member can learn more about the rich history and scope of the Order of the Arrow.

Join us at Camp Pirtle for this important and helpful training Friday Evening, January 6, 2023, through Saturday Afternoon, January 7, 2023!
